- We took our children (ages 13 and 9) here for the first time this June. We prefer this park over Islands of Adventure. There is just something about the original!We really enjoyed all the rides, Diagon Alley, and just soaking in the magic of Universal. We got through all the rides by mid-afternoon and were then able to enjoy going back to take our time repeating our favorites. The refillable mugs are also reasonable and very convenient. - Recently completed our fourth trip to Universal. Second time with kids (boy 7 and girl 5) and thoroughly loved it. Rides such as Transformers, Spiderman, Hulk and Rip Ride Rockit are another level. Transformers is simply unbelievable and has to be experienced. That's what $100m gets you!! Even my 5 year old girl loved it which was a huge surprise to both mum and dad! In truth we think she just simply couldn't grasp the magnitude and shock that stir older kids and adults! Then there is the world of Harry Potter which is literally out of this world for kids of all ages. The main ride is amazing (as is the queue experience through Hog Warts). Magic wands can be used to cast spells in certain areas and are well worth the money and I would recommend them for a full afternoon of fun. - John, Joplin, MO
